| SVAM is proud to reveal the world of art and artists to those who use the Internet to view art that they cannot otherwise experience. Our virtual online gallery includes private art collections, 3D stereo imagery, photos of fire-based art, ice-based art, sculptures of all different kinds that are made of glass, acrylic, and stone, and art that transcends the traditional museum experience. What’s more, we provide curatorial notes, descriptions of the technology behind the art, and notes from a curator. This worldwide Internet based source helps university students, k-12 students, and life learners of all ages. SVAM also provides educational tools for art instruction for people who want to enjoy learning about art from their home base or school. Here, SVAM offers links for emerging artists, a database of art schools, educational links, sources for artist’s tools and supplies, and descriptions on how specific artwork in the Exhibition section was created. For new visitors, you may want to go to the Exhibits section where we highlight rare and amazing art. We have chosen art that you would never be able to see in a physical museum – such as art that burns and art that melts. You don’t have to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the world famous MOMA in New York City, to view contemporary art, classical imagery, portraiture, painting, illustrations, drawings, or prints. SVAM is also delighted to show private collections that you can view anywhere. We also invite you to explore our Resource section with helpful links related to all types of art around the world, and the Education section for learning more about, and participate in, this emerging cultural experience. And SVAM is still growing. We will soon have computer graphics, tattoo art, graffiti, interactive art, and the latest news and blogs on our online site. Keep posted. SVAM is located in Silicon Valley, California, which has been the host of a profound cultural revolution. This region has provided new tools and media for artists – and engineers and scientists – for expressing beauty, knowledge, ideas, and innovative art. We want to support those who understand this cultural experience and feel the need to express it in new artistic ways. Please feel free to contact us at info@svam.org |
